Étiqueté : single bet calculator
OK — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever figure out what an each way payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the part I use most — type in stake and odds and you get the return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you want a look, it lives at accumulator betting calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that really changed how I bet was the geekier bits. There’s an implied probability calculator that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is decent for when I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. Its design looks pretty plain — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s usable although the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
So — been on this thing for something like four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me a few days back. Am in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.
The reason I started using it was genuinely embarrassing — I never could figure out what an each way return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get returns instantly, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, and that’s where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s over at free super heinz bet calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that genuinely changed how I bet was the more serious extras. The probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent when I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. The layout feels very functional, let’s say — not much frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it works but the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. If you even now works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me plenty of « wait, that’s it? » moments.
OK — have been messing about with this thing for something like six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am UK based, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.
How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never figure out what an e/w return actually came to once you get five places instead of three. I used to just guess and get a shock. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you put in the price and your stake and it spits out returns straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always mess it up. If you want a look, it’s here accum calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that actually changed how I bet is the more serious bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is decent if I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. The layout is pretty plain — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few « wait, that’s it? » moments.
