Étiqueté : single bet calculator
OK — been using this thing for maybe four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
How I found it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never figure out what an each way payout would be once you get five places instead of three. I’d just guess and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the part I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here treble betting calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
The thing that genuinely changed how I bet was the nerdier bits. There’s an probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. Its design feels pretty plain — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who even now does the maths on paper, have a look — saved me plenty of « wait, that’s it? » moments.
OK — been using this thing for something like four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never work out what an ew payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get the return straight away, either odds format. There’s also the fiddly ones — trebles returns, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it’s over at doubles accumulator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
What genuinely made a difference is the nerdier extras. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. Its design feels a bit basic — zero frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but you asked.
Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, have a look — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
OK — been on this thing for maybe a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an e/w return actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.

It also handles the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s here oddsmatcher calculator — free, no signup.
One thing that actually made a difference is the nerdier bits. There’s an probability converter that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too if I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. The layout is a bit basic — no flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.
So yeah. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, have a look — saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
