Étiqueté : single bet calculator
Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am based in the UK, generally do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w payout would be when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and get a shock. Now type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the part I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out returns with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s over at calculator profit accumulator — free, no signup.
What actually shifted things for me was the nerdier tools. The probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too if I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its design looks a bit basic — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s usable but the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there’s no app, just the site — slight shame but worth saying.
So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
So — been using this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never figure out what an e/w return actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and then be surprised. These days I stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator is the part I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows returns instantly, either odds format. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, yankees, which is where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here each way bet calculator william hill and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that really shifted things for me is the more serious tools. They’ve got an implied probability calculator which shows you what margin’s baked in, and a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its interface is pretty plain — no frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable although the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does what it says. If you still does the maths on paper, give it a go — saved me a load of « wait, that’s it? » moments.
So — been using this thing for about six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I never could figure out what an each way payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. Now type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — type in stake and odds and you get profit and total return instantly, either odds format. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at super heinz kalkulátor — free, no signup.
One thing that really changed how I bet was the more serious extras. The probability converter that shows how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. The interface feels pretty plain — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s fine although the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but you asked.
So yeah. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, try it — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
