OK — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
What got me on it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — type in stake and odds and it spits out returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s here each way dutching calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
What actually shifted things for me is the more serious tools. The odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is handy too when I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout looks a bit basic — not much flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. There’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.
So yeah. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, try it — saved me a load of « wait, that’s it? » moments.
OK — been using this thing for maybe six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me last week. I’m in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually a bit daft — I could never work out what an e/w return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I used to just wing it and get a shock. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the one I open most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, which is where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s over at 49s patent lottery bet calculator — free, no signup.
The thing that really shifted things for me is the more serious tools. They’ve got an probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its layout looks very functional, let’s say — zero polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it works though the acca grid are a squeeze. And no app, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.
So yeah. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.
