Right — been on this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. Am UK based, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever figure out what an each way payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and get a shock. Now stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the one I use most — type in stake and odds and you get the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, yankees, and that’s where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it’s here patent bet — free, no signup.

One thing that really changed how I bet is the more serious tools. The probability thing that shows how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. Its interface looks a bit basic — no frills, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone still adds it up in their head, have a look — saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

OK — been using this thing for maybe six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, generally bet football and racing, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was actually embarrassing — I could never work out what an ew payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. These days I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — you drop in stake and odds and you get the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it lives at vig calculator decimal — free, no signup.

What genuinely changed how I bet is the geekier extras. They’ve got an probability thing that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design feels a bit basic — zero frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine although the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but worth saying.

So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, works. If you honestly adds it up in their head, try it — saves me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

Right — been on this thing for something like a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get returns straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s over at betting dutching calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

What genuinely shifted things for me was the geekier extras. They’ve got an implied probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent if I’m splitting a race.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout looks very functional, let’s say — zero frills, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s fine but the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There’s no app, it’s browser only — slight shame but you asked.

Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If anyone still adds it up in their head, have a look — saved me a fair few « wait, that’s it? » moments.
