OK — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since someone asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and get a shock. Now I type the odds in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — type in stake and odds and you get returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, and that’s where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at kelly criterion odds calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that genuinely made a difference was the more serious extras. The implied probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, plus a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is decent for when I’m splitting a race.

Not all sunshine though. The design looks pretty plain — zero polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s usable but the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If you honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me a fair few « wait, that’s it? » moments.

Right — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me the other day. Am UK based, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I could never work out what an each way return would be when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I open most — type in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at bet calculator uk and it’s free with no account nonsense.

One thing that genuinely changed how I bet is the geekier tools. There’s an probability converter which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is decent when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. Its layout feels very functional, let’s say — zero frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. There’s no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a fair few « wait, that’s it? » moments.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for about six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d say something since someone asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.

What got me on it was actually a bit daft — I never could figure out what an ew payout would be once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you drop in your stake, the odds and it spits out returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at yankee betting calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that actually shifted things for me is the more serious tools. The implied probability thing that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too if I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The layout looks a bit basic — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.

Anyway. Free, barely any ads, works. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

OK — been using this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am in the UK, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was honestly a bit daft — I never could work out what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d eyeball it and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the part I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at vig calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that genuinely changed how I bet was the nerdier tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is decent if I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. The design feels pretty plain — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. And no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a load of arguments with the bookie.

OK — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never get my head round what an ew payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now type the odds in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and you get returns instantly, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where most people I know lose track. If you want a look, it’s here dutch bet calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What actually shifted things for me were the geekier tools. There’s an probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent if I’m splitting a race.

Not all sunshine though. The layout feels pretty plain — zero flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s usable although the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
