OK — been using this thing for something like a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since someone asked me last week. Am in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew payout would be when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I type the odds in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the one I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here treble odds calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that genuinely made a difference were the geekier extras. There’s an odds-to-probability thing which shows you what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. The design feels pretty plain — not much flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s usable although the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.

Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

OK — been using this thing for something like five months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since a mate asked me last week. I’m in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — you put in the price and your stake and you get returns straight away, either odds format. There’s also the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s here lucky 63 bet365 and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that genuinely changed how I bet is the more serious bits. They’ve got an implied probability calculator that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent for when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. The design looks very functional, let’s say — no flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine but the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who still does the maths on paper, have a look — saves me a load of « wait, that’s it? » moments.

So — been using this thing for something like a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. I’m in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

What got me on it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew return would be when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and you get returns instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. Have a go yourself, it lives at how is matched betting calculated and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that really changed how I bet was the more serious tools. There’s an implied probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. Its interface is a bit basic — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine although the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. There’s no app, it’s browser only — slight shame but worth saying.

Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me plenty of « wait, that’s it? » moments.

Right — been on this thing for something like five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m UK based, mainly bet football and racing, small stakes, for context.

The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never figure out what an e/w payout actually was when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the one I use most — you put in the price and your stake and it shows returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at whats a super heinz bet and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that genuinely shifted things for me were the nerdier extras. They’ve got an probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. The design looks a bit basic — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s fine though the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no proper app, it’s browser only — slight shame but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who still does the maths on paper, give it a go — saves me a load of « wait, that’s it? » moments.
