So — been on this thing for maybe six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d say something since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, for context.

The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w payout would be when the place terms changed. I’d just guess and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out the return instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at how to work out an accumulator bet and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that genuinely changed how I bet was the geekier tools. The probability converter that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout feels very functional, let’s say — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me just flagging it.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of « wait, that’s it? » moments.

Right — been on this thing for something like a few months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. I’m in the UK, generally do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way return would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator is the bit I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out the return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here 49s yankee bet calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that actually shifted things for me was the more serious bits. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. The layout looks a bit basic — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable but the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If anyone still does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for something like four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever work out what an each way payout actually came to once you get five places instead of three. I’d just guess and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — you put in the price and your stake and it shows the return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s over at calculate vig and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What genuinely changed how I bet is the geekier bits. There’s an probability thing that shows the overround, plus a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator is handy too when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design is very functional, let’s say — no frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s usable although the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, try it — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
