Right — been on this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since a mate asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

How I found it was genuinely embarrassing — I could never get my head round what an e/w return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you put in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, and that’s where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s here accumulator odds checker and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that actually made a difference were the nerdier bits. They’ve got an implied probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout feels pretty plain — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. And no proper app, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Anyway. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, have a look — saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d say something since someone asked me a few days back. Am in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was genuinely a bit daft — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w return would be when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and then be surprised. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, yankees, and that’s where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at how to calculate implied probability — free, no signup.

The thing that actually shifted things for me were the nerdier bits. The implied probability thing which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is decent when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The layout is pretty plain — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works although the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. And no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you honestly adds it up in their head, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d say something since someone asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

How I found it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew payout actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the part I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, and that’s where I always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at 49s patent bet calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that actually shifted things for me were the geekier bits. There’s an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. The design is a bit basic — zero frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it works though the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
