Right — been using this thing for about five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d write something up since a mate asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now punch the numbers in first, every time, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you put in stake and odds and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, yankees, which is where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s over at kelly criterion odds calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that actually changed how I bet is the geekier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. Its design looks a bit basic — zero flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you still does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.
